Need I say anything? The colors are magnificent! I am trying to get a lot of photos together so that I can make an iphoto book. I don't own a Mac but my son does and he is kindly letting me use to make the book.
Hi Angela your photography is amazing ! i have enjoyed viewing some of your recent work it is all just lovely. Would you mind sharing where the indian store is and where your taking your workshops. You are so lucky finding the cocoons wow that was a great buy. I made some lovely tassles using half a cocoon as the top they look great. You can use a variety of fibres and it makes them look very interesting ! have a great weekend michelle
Hi Michelle The Indian store is called Onkar at the Hazelglen Plaza. The workshop I am taking is in Campbelleville with Sandra Spagnuolo. If you ever get the chance to take a workshop with her do it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog! It means so much to me and I truly appreciate it! Whenever possible I reply to comments. warm regards Angela Princess Bubbles
I am still working away at attaching my circles to this piece. I have added some other stitching as well. I am very keen to add some beading to this one but that must wait. Beading needs to be the last step. I don't need the frustration of my threads getting snagged on the beads. Progress can feel oh so slow. Especially when it is because I am distracted by other projects! I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
How did it get to be December! I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice! I still might. We will see how it goes. I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project. There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year. I like having a monthly project. I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching. Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though. I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay. I have to get through the holidays! I enjoyed stitching my September slice. I got out my book by Carole Samples Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stithes. It has wonderful combinations of stitches. I have had this book for years and never properly used it. It uses basic stitches in interesting combinations. So, I didn't really learn any new stitches but I did enjoy combining stitches in new ways. I might find that more helpful in the long wrong. The weather has still been cooperative for stitching outside. The week ahead looks good too. I might get a jump start on my October slice. It is sad to think about putting away the deck furniture but it can wait at least a week. I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
