learning new things

I have to say that it is not often that I learn new things at a workshop.  That probably sounds arrogant.  I don't mean it to.   I am making a journal cover with plastic canvas.  I have never worked with plastic canvas before this.  I am stitching small pieces of fabric to the canvas.  I really like the look but it is a bit tedious and time consuming.  I will persevere though as I really want to get it finished for the next workshop with\Sandra.  We will be binding our journals together and I really need to have a cover finished.

  1. Rather than adding fabrics to it you could get some thickish threads and just stitch a long stitch and the fabric would be the focal point.

  2. I agree with loVe2crea8 that what you have done so far could be a very effective focal point to the cover. I love the textures and lines that the fabrics create - not to mention the glittery bits, too! Beautiful!
