bead journal project for May
I just didn't want to give up on this piece. I knew if I kept going I could make it into something good. The process started with an acrylic transfer that was less than successful - as most are. I think when you do an acrylic transfer it is best to plan for it to NOT be perfect as they so very rarely are.
I persisted and I am glad that I did. I think this is a pretty cool journal page. I love the wings. I did a rubbing with silver metallic oil pastel to get the impression. The wings are made of wood. They are a scrapbook item I found on ebay.
Gorgeous!!! Really stunnning.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like the imperfection of acrylic transfers :-) There are plenty of other ways to do it to get perfect results, but I love handwork that looks like handwork. Love your piece!!
ReplyDeletePersistence sure paid off here - this is so beautiful! Love the wings too....and the colors...pleasing to the eyes!
ReplyDeleteOh good that you didn't give up!!!!! This piece makes me sooooooooooo happy... I can't even tell you... Hearts with wings are the best and this one is the best of the best. Of course I clicked to enlarge and enjoyed the subtle details of shading as well. Bravo!
