TAST chain stitch

Yesterday I painted a small canvas landscape with the intention of adding stitch to it.  Sharon B's take a stitch Tuesday is the chain stitch this week.  I think it worked well as a fill in stitch on this landscape.  I used DMC color variations thread.  I actually used the entire skein.  I have never done that before this!
I am concerned that I am not being creative enough with the stitches that I know.    I am stretching myself and trying new things but ....

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
