I find art supplies everywhere

I was in Bowrings on the weekend.  It is a home dec store.  I am still looking for the perfect mirror for my newly renovated bathroom.  Sigh.  I didn't get a mirror but I did find these two place mats.  Neither of which will be used for place mats.  The fancy floral one will make a nice page in a romantic fabric book I am thinking about making.  The green place mat has great texture and I will use it for rubbings and for sun printing.

    Don't upi just love it when you find something fabulous like these placemats..I love the floral one and can picture it in a journal..I just finished my first fabric journal and it was so much fun.. pop on over to see it if you have a minute..

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
