Take a stitch Tuesday diamond stitch

This is a new stitch to me.  It looked like a tough one to learn so I just worked in on a loose piece of fabric.  I didn't have the confidence to try it on one of my crazy quilt blocks.  I am glad that I didn't as I think it will take me some practice to get it right.  I probably should have worked on aida cloth or similar.  It would have made it easier to keep things even.  I do like the stitch.  Thanks to Sharon B. at http://pintangle.com/ for the instructions.

  1. It took me some time to work it evenly, too. Have you ever tried using Waste Canvas as a grid to make even stitches? You can work on even weave or a T-shirt and after stitching spray it with water until the canvas fibres get limp and can be pulled out, leaving beautiful neat stitches on the T-shirt.
