Take a Stitch Tuesday Vandyke Stitch


Here is my attempt at the Vandyke stitch.  Since I have never done this stitch before I decided to practice first, top picture.  It wasn't all that difficult so I added it to my August crazy quilt block.  You can see that I started get impatient with the stitch and my spacing grew larger.  I honestly don't mind that it doesn't look exactly as it is supposed to.  I have always been a rebel.

    On a crazy quilt block, however it looks is exactly how it is supposed to look. I like it too!

    Haven't tried this stitch yet but it looks kind of neat.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
