Work in Progress Wednesday

My August crazy quilt block is finished.  At least for now.  I am not totally in love with this block so I mayhave to add to it later.  Sometimes it is good for me to a piece away for a while and come back to it later with fresh eye.  I am linking with

    I think your block has a lot of charm and I like the 'double echo' you now have. It is always a good idea to let a project rest a few days and then look at it with 'fresh' eyes.

    I really like the repeating heart motifs, Angela. If your block doesn't make your heart 'sing', exactly, though...you might try making the background piecing a bit...um...crazier! :-)

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
