Work in Progress Wednesday

Not a lot of difference since the last time I posted about this block but I do consider it to be finished now.  I did add a bit of stitching in the upper right corner and maybe something else, I don't remember.  I do think the upper left corner is a bit dark but I am not sure how to correct that.  I will wait until the block are stitched together to decide how to handle that.

  1. Your block is very light, elegant and feminine. If you wish to add something to balance that slightly dark corner, how about some dark beads in the opposite corner, once you have stitched the blocks together?

  2. I like your block - just an idea but since you said you think the top left corner is dark have you thought of adding say a quarter of lace doily or something? The lace would lighten it - just and idea

  3. This is very pretty. If you want to lighten the upper left corner, you might consider repeating some of the stitching on your other seams there, or creating an undulating vine in a light variegated thread. Just a thought.

  4. What a lovely block! My first thought was the same as Queenie's. I try to balance out the colors by adding them to the opposite side of the block. But, I love Sharon's idea of adding a bit of lace to part of it to lighten it up again. A combination of these would be lovely!
