Bead journal for May so far

Not a bead in sight as of yet!  I was looking back on some previous bead journals.  The first year I participated I took a mixed media approach to the bead journals.  I think they are my favorite even though I have learned a lot since I did them.  This month I really wanted to go with the mixed media idea again.  So far I have applied marks to a coffee filter.  I then adhered a kirigami paper cut to the coffee filter.  I have added some embroidery stitches with Kreinik threads as well.  I plan to add more embroidery before I start beading.  I am pleased with my progress!

  1. Your work is amaziing. I took class with a beader last year. He works on full size quilts! They are incredible......and heavy!

  2. This is already looking so good! When beads are added it will be even more sensational!
I like mixed media because there are no limits.

  3. Your background design is so pretty, and the cut paper design looks fabulous on it. I'm trying to imagine what the beads will add.
