July Bead Journal

This is hand painted silk.  I adhered it to fusible interfacing, machine stitched it and then cut out the holes.  Each hole is bead encrusted around the edge.  I am wondering if I should add some more bead circles or some hand embroidery?  hmmm

    Oh! How cool is this! Would love to see a close up do the beading. Makes me think of outer space or something - planets? Black holes maybe?

    This shows lots of potential for the addition of hand embroidered embellishments. It could be taken in so many different directions. It could indeed be a space scene or perhaps the beaded holes are port holes in a ship and you can decide whether we're inside looking out or outside watching the ship go by.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
