Made a little progress

This butterfly has been in my head for a very long time.  I cut it out of silk a number of years ago and then it sat there.  A few weeks back I decided it has been a UFO for long enough!   I have used Inktense blocks and pencils to add some marks to it.  I have machine stitched it to an interfacing and I have done the blanket stitch around the edges.  Next up, I will be adding beads and possibly sequins.  I am ever so thankful that I get to be creative!

      At the moment I am thinking I will mount it on a black canvas.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
