Work in Progress Wednesday

This piece is called Cosmos.  I finished it yesterday so that I could show it the art group meeting last night.  I didn't end up showing it.  Getting up and speaking about my art is not always easy for me.  I really like the piece.  If you look closely you will see there is a lot of hand stitching on this piece.  It is going to be in a show the Kitchener Public Library next month.

    What a wonderful finish! It turned out beautiful.

    I know what you mean about it being difficult to get up and speak in front of a group. I still end up with pounding in my ears because I'm so nervous when I speak or read from one of my stories at writing groups.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
