Work in Progress Wednesday

Though technically not a crazy quilt block this is what I am doing for my December CQ project.  I was really hoping to have it finished by now but that has been the theme of this year, finishing late.  I have been participating in the CQ block challenge for a number of years now.  I am taking a break in 2016.  I still love CQ and will likely participate another year but need sometime to concentrate on other projects.

    I love the doily in the middle. It looks like most of it is finished with great designs. I considered breaking this coming year, too, but I'm going to do one more, to make it an even five, and then we'll see. =)

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
