Work in Progress Wednesday

I few weeks ago I did some fabric dyeing with my guild.  When it came time to take the fabric out of the dye and rinse it I couldn't part with dye remaining in the container.  I knew it wouldn't be good for dyeing more fabric but I felt confident it would work on paper.  I gave it a go and I love my stack of pretty papers.  I crumpled the paper to soak in the dye and that gave me some mottling, which I really like.  However, when uncrumpling the wet, dyed papers some of them ripped.  I learned that when you let them get to almost dry before uncrumpling you get less tearing.

  1. Fantastic colours. Arranged like that in the photo, you have a scene from a beach!

  2. The papers look gorgeous! Looks like the sea and sand.
