Still Playing


I am enjoying the challenge of working in this fabric journal.  Since stitching will show through on the next page it isn't really an option.  It is giving me the opportunity to play with surface treatments.  I was inspired by a lovely blog comment to treat the left tree as a fall tree.  I stamped leaf shapes with foiling adhesive.  After waiting for it to dry I applied some transfer foil in golds, red and copper.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
