November Bead Journal started

I have a dear friend who travels the world.  She kindly brings me back a little something and it is always my intention to honour her kindness by using it.  She gave me these interesting shell pieces.  The camera did not capture their lovely iridescence, unfortunately. I have adhered them and stitched down some frothy fabric.  The background is some dyed paper towel.  Let the beading begin!

    Incredible! The effect is very stunning. It must be even more so in real with the 3D effect. I'm looking forward to seeing your beading work.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
