Guild challenge

Yellow and white is the color combination for March.  I used some yellow fabric that I sun printed.  I added the silver gear charms and white beads.  Silver is close enough to white in my opinion.  I really like gears but I am not really liking this piece.  It is okay.  Sometimes done has to be good enough.

    The gears have nice shapes and mirror the beautiful pattern of the sun dyed fabric. IF you were to do something, how about introducing a darker shade of yellow, maybe by coaching down the gears?

    Love the fabric and the idea of combining with silver gears. However, if you're not happy with it maybe it is because it looks a little unfinished ... needs more stitching maybe :)

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
