Take a Stitch Tuesday

Laced Herringbone Square Stitch directions are provided by Sharon B.  She really is the best.  I tried this stitch on handmade paper.  It looks very different from Sharon's done on fabric.   Possibly doing it smaller and using ribbon floss would have yielded similar results.  Nevertheless, I think it looks kind of cool.  All the stitches I have done on handmade paper are done on single sheets of paper.  Eventually, I will have enough to put them into an interesting book form.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
