Work in Progress Wednesday

Possibly I have posted about this little quilt previously.  If I did I probably called it finished when in reality it still needed a binding.  Proper quilt bindings are just not my thing so sometimes/most times I struggle with that bit.  I am super pleased with the idea I came up with for this quilt.  This quilt is fabric and paper and paints so using paper as the binding makes perfect sense.  I used unryo/mulberry paper and glued it.  Unryo is fibrous, strong and flexible when wet.  I love it when an idea works out so well!

  2. Great idea! I, too, struggle with the edges of my mixed media hangings, and have used gros-grain ribbon in the same way.
