Work in Progress Wednesday

I am so happy with my bead journal project for May/June.  This mixed media kaleidoscope will likely end up in a quilt but it is finished for now.

    If I had seen the material lined up for this block I would have thought the beads would have drowned in the pattern of the background fabric. You have once again proved that it is the opposite; the speckled fabric enhances the beads and makes this into a truly beautiful block. You've done it again!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
