Journal Week #44

The prompt this week was fall.  I had fun creating the background.  When doing a dyeing session with threads, fabrics etc. I usually use up the last bits of dye on paper.  This paper I crumpled up and poured the dyes onto it.  The texture and the rips in the paper pleases me.  I added the trees with oil pastel and the quote says 'None is richer than he who simply has peace of mind.' Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
