Work in Progress Wednesday

I have a nice start on my bead journal project for February.  This old doily I hand dyed.  An old doily makes a lovely base for a mandala.  I have been doing my bead journals in a circle form for quite a while now, on and off.  I have quite a collection of them.  I am hoping to create enough of them to have a solo show somewhere, sometime.  I honestly can't see myself tiring of working with a circle.

    I will return to your blogs for inspiration - I and my friends have decided to use circle as our theme for the Challenge for next year's show and tell at the quilt show in Tokyo.
    A doily is a good base to work with.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
