Water


The top photo is my newest piece in my water series.  The substrate is crumpled copy paper.  I have added gesso, paint and ink.  The paper is fairly durable but it did rip in a bit.  I don't mind that at all.  I also couched down some funky yarn. 

The bottom photo is my piece from last week.  I added some stitching with a metallic thread.

    Water is a difficult matter to portrait, you have managed very well. The rip will be ripples on the surface!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
