Work in Progess Wednesday

Finally finished.  My New Zealand piece for the Ailsa Craig Quit and Fibre Festival feels very special to me.  I used a piece of batik fabric that I purchased while in New Zealand.  I depicted the mountains in my piece because my husband and I hiked a mountain while we there.  Hiking a mountain was a bucket list item for me.  I am so glad that I did and feel like I can persevere through anything after doing it.  It was neither easy or fun.  I ended up with 10 blisters on my feet and could barely hobble to the car at the end.  But I DID IT!

Lovely. I have never climbed a real mountain as such except one in Lake Placid. More of a very tall hill. That was many years ago and it had a pathway up to the top...and an elevator. I didn't discover that fact until after we got to the top:) I took the elevator down.

Accomplishing anything, especially when it's difficult for you, is something to be proud of. Well Done!!
