Water

I am still plugging away at doing a six-inch square of water each week.  I have over twenty of these pieces now.  I did a paint stick rubbing on silk and then stitched on some funky yarn.  Unfortunately, the sequins on this yarn do not show up.  I love the sparkle and always find it disappointing when the camera doesn't capture it.

    Our creations always look better in the flesh - no camera can give justice to the sparkle from beads and sequins.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
