Slow Stitching Sunday

This beaded mandala I stitched a while ago.  All that was left to finish it was the outer edge.  I struggle with that area.  I can't do straight for the life of me!  So, I experiment with different ways of finishing.  I am quite happy with the way I framed this one with buttons.  I have a good stash of buttons which is a really good thing when you need this many black buttons.  I will definitely do this again!  I need to go digging for dark blue buttons for another a piece.  I may need to hit some thrift stores!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
