A bit further

I have been trying to concentrate on finishes.  I have a number of mandalas that need something a little more.  This one is paper-based and could only take so much stitching and beading. I did not want to perforate the paper so much that it fell apart.   I wasn't overly pleased with it but couldn't think of what else to do until this week.  I decided to add hot fix crystals to it.  No stitching needed.  Definitely a mixed media approach and that makes me happy.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
