Can you tell I have been hanging around with my two-year-old granddaughter?  Wow, this is pink!  I did not intend for it to be SO pink.  I played with permanent markers and rubbing alcohol to create this.  There are a number of things I like about this technique.  I like the way the colours bleed and blend.  I like that the alcohol evaporates fairly quickly so it doesn't take forever to dry.  I like that you get unexpected things.  Even though there is an abundance of pink I still think this piece can be useful.  I will do some beading and embroidering on it and that should break up the pink for me.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
