Work in Progress Wednesday

My June bead journal is finished.  Usually, I turn my bead journals into small quilted wall hangings but this time I plan to leave this one in the hoop.  I think it works alright.  Why create extra work for me?  This piece is truly mixed media.  I started on fabric that was used as a cleanup cloth so already had imperfection built-in.  No need for me to be concerned about messing it up!  I added some silver leaf in the centre and then started beading and stitching.

    I like this idea of starting from the centre and building outwards, like border and medallion quilts, spider web embroideries .
    Plenty of beads here!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
