Slow Stitching Sunday

I have made some progress on my little puppy. Basically, just the face left to do. That's the tricky part. That's where are all the soul and character show through. Geez, not stressful to get that right! I also need to come up with a name for him. I am leaning towards Dug but that could change. Working on this story for my granddaughter has really opened up the story teller in me. I have not thought of myself as a writer but I have been faithfully writing a blog for over ten years. I write an email to my sister almost everyday and that has been been at least 15 years. Maybe, it is just that words aren't my preferred way of communicating. Maybe, that is changing. It does seem that you are a writer AND a stitcher AND a beader and so many other talents as well!

I like your cute little blue pup. Isn’t fun looking for just the perfect button to fit in? I haven’t made a button piece in a while, but I do like working on them. Be sure to show us the face when your’e finished.

Angela, your little blue pup, Dug, is adorable. I love all the pretty detail you have fashioned, thus far. Love the different beads you have outlined him in various places. The fabulous bead for the ear is very cool, as are the beads you have embellished the tail with. You, have a seriously beautiful bead and button collection! I for one would love to read the lovely story you imagine about Dug. I can just imagine the whimsy of this tale.
