Slow Stitching Sunday

Yay!  Another page finished for my book.  Making progress feels really good.  This page is meant to depict the aurora borealis.  Clearly, I am not going for high realism!  My style is a bit cartoonish and I am okay with that.  At least I am learning to be.  I think my style works really well for a children's book.  I love my crazy trees!  There will be a similar tree for each season.  I used iridescent white paint to create the snow in the foreground.  I think that works wonderfully well!

  4. Your Aurora Borealis is fun to look at! Did you layer the sky colors to get that effect?
