Slow Stitching Sunday

I am making some progress on this piece.  I have added some beading and some silk ribbon embroidery.  Stitching on this silk fabric is a delight.  However, the silk is very light and has some stretch to it.  I will have to be careful what I add to this.  I am thinking I will keep the beading to a minimum and do mainly silk ribbon embroidery on this.

Lovely progress on your Mandala, Angela. I always enlarge your photo to fill my screen, as there is always such lovely stitching to be seen. I am struck by the stitching skipping around the edges; 'tis pretty. I look forward to seeing more silk ribbon embroidery on this piece. Enjoy your week. I can see you in your 'studio' deciding upon which pretty to stitch your magic♡

If you are afraid of stretching the fabric or that the beading will be too heavy for it, why don't you support the fabric from the back with a piece of thin fabric. I have used lawn, which is thin but tightly woven, to add strengthe to my wool work.
gorgeous light blue color and intricate embroidery
