Slow Stitching Sunday


 I finished up this mandala/kaleidoscope this week.  The silk fabric is printed with one of my kaleidoscope fabrics and therefore did not require a lot of stitching/beading.  I think I found the right amount.  I mainly used bigger sequins and beads as small ones would get lost in the busy pattern.

    That is so pretty! The combination of fabric, stitching, and beading makes a lovely design. I bet the silk feels lovely when you're stitching on it!

    There are so many beautiful parts on this mandala - the hearts, the shiny leaves and the colourless glass flowers - are they buttons?

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
