Work in Progress Wednesday

I am not sure this truly counts as a work in progress but whatever!  Last week while in Toronto I visited my favourite bead store and was not disappointed.  I found these beautiful dragonfly charms.  They are a fair size with a wing span of almost three inches.  Well, I love dragonflies and immediately knew that four of them would make an interesting centre for a mandala.  They aren't actually stitched down to the fabric as yet.  I am wondering if a slightly darker purple would be better.  While I ponder that I am going to look for more bug charms and beads.  I think it would be kind of fun to do a mandala completely of bugs.  I     am not sure that I have enough of that sort of thing to make it work.  I will go digging and see what I find.

  1. I love the colour of copper patina. This will be an unusual mandala.
