I am the storm she whispered back

Keeping an art journal is like medicine.  All creativity is medicine for me.  Following prompts from Challenge Yourself I have included a  photo of myself and some stars created with transfer foil.  Creative Artiste Challenge Blog requires the use of mixed media.  For that I have used acrylic paint, markers, embossing powder and glitter. The third blog I am linking up with is International Art and Soul  and theme there is happiness. I hope everyone can see happiness in my eyes.  I know I do even though they don't quite sparkle as they did in my youth and there are some crinkles around the edges.  I am grateful that I have eyes to see.  Gratitude and happiness go together for me.  This was a great exercise in doing some deeper soul work!

Edit: I was looking at an old prompt from Challenge Yourself.  However, I still feel like this spread works because of the quote I used.  Being the storm is a metaphor for being strong and resilient to me.  Qualities we all need to weather the storms of life.

We do need strength to live in today's world. We also need harmony and happiness. I think you have all those qualities in your eyes.
