Slow Stitching Sunday

This mandala is loaded with sparkle.  So much yummy shine!  I added the pearl beads for the last ring, which feel like punctuation marks.  Period end of the sentence.  I thought there would be more to do after the pearls, but nope.  This one is done.  Following my intuition with my mandalas works best for me.  The centre is the first idea and where I start.  Each step I take comes to me in its time.  A waiting game of sorts.  One I enjoy playing ever so much!

The to-do pile continues to dwindle as my solo show comes closer.  When I think about how quickly time flies I start to feel a bit antsy.  Then I remind myself there is no need for that.  Even if I didn't finish any more mandalas I would have enough for the show.  Take a breath.

  2. Oh I really like this particular mandala. The embellishments really pop off of that dark background.
