Slow Stitching Sunday


 I brought this quilt along on my holidays this past week.  I did not make as much progress as I thought I would.  Having a lap-size quilt on top of me with the heat was not comfortable.  Plus, watching grandchildren and general relaxing with the family was more important.  It was a busy week and I will be glad to return to my regular pace.  Further stitching on this one may have to wait for cooler temperatures.

We are getting cooler temperatures today but I have my brothers and their kids and grandkids coming for a barbecue.  Not everyone can make it but there should be 21 people altogether.  It is always a pleasure to see my family.  I am also looking forward to a very quiet day tomorrow!

Sounds like the best of both worlds - busy with family and then a lovely return to the regular routine! You have some pretty doilies to work with!

Cooler weather means we can get back to projects on our laps, like quilt tops and crochet afghans.

That is such a beautiful collection of doilies for your quilt. You are a true artist!
I am glad you took the time to spend with the family - however much you like stitching, IT can wait, but socialising with the family can't!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
