Slow Stitching Sunday

I have been adding to my forest floor fibre book.   Some stitching was added to some leaves.  Often I grab for my regular cotton thread but this time I dove into my precious silk stash.  Oh, how I love stitching with silk.  I have a good-sized stash of it and need to just use it.  Enjoy it.  There is no point in saving it.  Saving it for what?

I also have added to the pages of the book.  I was finding some mediums a bit difficult to cover.  I decided to give my permanent markers a try and they work wonderfully well.  I haven't gone digging for the hand-dyed cheesecloth or lace as yet.  I might find time for that today.  They will be attached with adhesive since stitching won't work.  I think they will add even more interesting textures.

Your leaves are so pretty! Love the forest floor book page, too - makes me think of hiking on a trail that is thick with leaves and pine needles. Beautiful!
