Slow Stitching Sunday

I haven't gotten much stitching done this week.  Mostly I have been playing with mixed media journal stuff.  However, I did dig out this old clean-up cloth and started stitching on it.  I always have a piece of cloth on my table for wiping my paintbrushes on.  Once they get to an interesting state I retire them into my fabric stash.  I know they will work perfectly for some projects down the road.

This one is about the right size to cover a box I am using to hold some collage cards I have created.  While looking for some threads for a different project I came across some really cool textured threads that I want to use on this.  I will have some slow stitching time this afternoon before the family gets here for dinner.  Hopefully, I will have more to show next week!

I find it interesting you use a cloth after wiping paint of a surface several times. The cloth you are working on today certainly has fabulous patterns on it.
That's a fun idea! Do you just let the paint splotches on the fabric tell you where to stitch?
