Slow Stitching Sunday

For many stitchers, slow stitching is also about embracing imperfection and celebrating the unique qualities of handmade items. Rather than striving for perfection or uniformity, slow stitching encourages a more organic and intuitive approach to stitch, allowing the fabric and thread to guide the stitcher's hand. This can result in pieces that are imperfect in the best possible way, with a character and charm that simply cannot be replicated by a machine.

That first paragraph was written by ChatGPT. It accurately represents my ideas about slow stitching. AI is absolutely amazing. Yesterday I had it write an exhibit inquiry for me. I would have struggled with that for way too much time. AI did it in seconds and I only needed to make a couple of minor changes. Wow. More time for stitching!

These small collages that I am calling floofy book pages are an absolute delight for me to stitch. I have started adding some beads which I typically leave until the very end. I think there will be more stitching added to these yet. I have 24 of these little pieces started. They are perfect for mindless doodle stitching.

There will be lots of family time today so I don't know if I will manage any stitching. Family time is just as precious as stitching time if not more so.

You're the first person I know who said that they tried AI for writing! I'm glad to hear that it was something that worked well for you. I'm curious about it, but don't really have a reason to try it. Meanwhile your floofy pages are fun to see!

Beautiful pieces! I agree family time is the most important part of my life, and I take advantage of it whenever possible.

I like your pages. I can't bring myself to just doodle stitch. I have to have a pattern or plan.
You add so many interesting bits and pieces to your artwork. Always interesting to look at

So it will be hard to tell if YOU or Ms AI have written the blog posts. I still prefer to challenge myself and do any writing task unaided by 'Arty Brains'.
