Mandala Monday

This mandala is some joyful shimmering goodness for our Monday.  It is another mandala from my journal of one hundred mandalas.  The circle has long been my favourite shape so it is easy to understand how I have fallen down this rabbit hole of mandalas.

At the beginning of the year, I started a practice of creating a mandala each morning.  These mandalas are contemplative and of course meditative and not complex like the one above.  A beautiful way to start my day.  I will be doing two per day for the rest of this week to make up for the time I am on holiday.  I would prefer to be able to do one each morning while away but I won't be able to make that work.

Maybe you should treat your holiday as a holiday from the art you do every day... It is a good opportunity to turn to something else, like photography, sketching or simply absorbing the surroundings by looking...
I am fond of circles, too but often find my hand wants to draw something sprouting from them... Is it because I'm a garderner's granddaughter?
Plan for a wonderful holiday.
