Mandala Monday


 I am exploring a new idea with this mandala.  It isn't finished by any means.  Before I went any further, I wanted to see how it would photograph.  Not great.  I am not happy with it.  The centre portion was printed on transparency film.  As I suspected, it has a nasty glare when photographed in the light.  But the light is needed to be able to see the pattern properly.  

It would work better to print on paper.  No glare for sure that way.  I will try again.  I might go further with this mandala even though it doesn't photograph well.  It could just go in a journal where it won't need to be photographed.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
