Mandala Monday


The central part of this mandala is finished and I am pleased with it.  I created a painted background for it.  I had hoped it would work but it does not.  I am puzzled as to what to try next.   I wonder if a solid background would be better.  It is almost September and I really wanted all the mandalas for the banners done by now.  It is an unrealistic goal that I have set for myself.  It is also unnecessary and I need to relax!

    There is so much going on in the centre, so a plain background might be best...

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
