I Like

I like that I have two hands. As a child, my mother could see that I would be left-handed.  She took it upon herself to correct that.  This is a right-handed world after all.  She didn't want things to be difficult for me.  I get it.  I like that I can use both my hands!

I like this painting.  Well, more the drawing underneath it.  I did the drawing with my left hand.  I love it and wish I would have also done the watercolour with my left hand.  I would never call myself a painter but I do love playing with paint in my journals.  I am eager to do more with my left hand in my journals.  It is ever so freeing to me!  No judgement.  It couldn't possibly be good.  Plus, it is ever so good for our brains to work with our non-dominant hand.

I am joining all the lovely grateful women with Lee Anna

That is an interesting story about your mom correcting your left-handedness! I didn’t actually know that was possible to do. But it sounds like you're ambidextrous now, which is quite amazing! That's a pretty painting!

In Japan too, in the past, it was very much the thing to correct a left-handed child. Now it is not only totally accepted to use your left hand, it is also said that left-handed people have a higher IQ than us 'righties'. Lucky you!

I like your painting. More please!
