I Like

LeeAnna  asks some interesting questions

Would you like being part of the group of competitors? Staying in the
olympic village?  Meeting people from all over the world? I love that
they are kind in competition, and  respect each other. Have you ever
gone to view the Olympics?

No, I would not like being in a group of competitors.  No, I would not like to stay in an Olympic Village.  Both of those things sound terrible to me.  Meeting people from all over the world would definitely be interesting to me.  But I picture that happening individually, not in a group setting.  I do not enjoy crowds and thus I have never been to an Olympic event.  That and the fact that I am not all that interested in sports in general.

I like playing with mixed media.  I had a visit from my niece this week and together we had an art play day.  So fun!  We happily splashed around gesso, glue and dye powder.  We had great conversations and lots of laughter.  We went to a nearby bakery and bought some dessert for after dinner.  Honestly, does it get much better?

I am happy to say that the humidity has stopped.  The air was so fresh and clear yesterday.  There was a beautiful breeze and oh how that made me smile.

  1. The crowds would (and do!) stop me from a lot of things, including attending the Olympics! Your day with your niece sounds wonderful. And a day where the humidity is gone is lovely!

  2. Your art play day sounds like fun! Our weather has also given us a short reprieve (before it rains tomorrow) - it was cool and dry enough to kayak last night and go walking this morning. Wonderful!

I hope you enjoy your week.

  3. No, it does not get any better than spending time with family. Have a great weekend!
