Slow Stitching Sunday

 





Another wool mandala is finished!  I only have two more to do and then will assess them all together.  It is fun for me to play within a circle.  The possibilities are unlimited.  I love the word unlimited!

I was going through my button box for another project and decided buttons would work well on this mandala.  Then of course beads were also needed.  Originally I thought I would only do embroidery on these mandalas but I changed my mind.  I do that all the time.

The centre part of this mandala is just a bit wonky.  It wouldn't be hard to fix but will I?  Hmm

    I love your wool mandala! It’s so pretty! Your design is cheerful and lovely! The center adds a bit of fun. I hadn’t even noticed until I read about it. Perfection is overrated, in my humble opinion. 😊

    I love this mandala, Angela! The red background really drew me to it, but then I saw the pretty vine with flowers on it, too. The buttons are a great touch!

    It's unusual to see this colour, isn't it? My image of your work is that it usually features cooler tones with aqua, teal, turquoise ... and then the purple hues on the spectrum.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 How did it get to be December!  I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice!  I still might.  We will see how it goes.  I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project.  There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year.  I like having a monthly project.  I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching.  Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though.  I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay.  I have to get through the holidays!   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/

  I am still working away at attaching my circles to this piece.  I have added some other stitching as well.  I am very keen to add some beading to this one but that must wait.  Beading needs to be the last step.  I don't need the frustration of my threads getting snagged on the beads.   Progress can feel oh so slow.  Especially when it is because I am distracted by other projects!
