Speaking of bikes, have you ever ridden a motorcycle? How do you view them, or feel about them? Tell us your story


I have ridden on a motorcycle.  I  have ridden with my brother and my hubby.  I am not fond of motorcycles.  Hubby had one for many years.  He just sold it last year and got an e-bike instead.  I am glad he sold it.  Motorcycles do not feel safe to me.  I rarely went on it.

I like that we have been getting some warmer weather.  I took my art journal outside and played.  It felt so good.  I let myself put colour on the page with no expectations.  There was no burden to create something 'good'.  Yay for me!

    Motorcycles seem dangerous to me too. I'm looking forward to warmer weather too! The winter always seems so long!

    I never felt like motorcycles were safe either, but riders who know what they are doing can be safe - like your hubby, hopefully. So glad you were able to take your journal outside in the nice weather and play!

    Yes, after a few enjoyable rides on motorcycles in our youth, i was done as I felt so vulnerable. How nice to freely create !

Slow Stitching Sunday

 How did it get to be December!  I really meant to fill in the big gaps in my November slice!  I still might.  We will see how it goes.  I got a lot of other stitching done in November so I guess that distracted me from this project.  There is only one slice left to stitch on this project and I find myself jumping ahead to next year. I wonder if I want to do another monthly project like this for next year.  I like having a monthly project.  I might consider doing a mixed-media instead of stitching.  Not that I couldn't incorporate some stitching into that though.  I have no clear idea at this point and that's okay.  I have to get through the holidays!   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/

Slow Stitching Sunday

 I enjoyed stitching my September slice.  I got out my book by Carole Samples Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stithes.  It has wonderful combinations of stitches.  I have had this book for years and never properly used it.  It uses basic stitches in interesting combinations. So, I didn't really learn any new stitches but I did enjoy combining stitches in new ways.  I might find that more helpful in the long wrong.   The weather has still been cooperative for stitching outside.  The week ahead looks good too.  I might get a jump start on my October slice.  It is sad to think about putting away the deck furniture but it can wait at least a week.
