do you like shopping at garage sales? Flea markets? what is a really
good one? Do you shop at thrift stores?

OH, YES!  I love shopping at garage sales and thrift stores!  I don't very often go to a flea market.  I guess I don't know where there any good ones.  I find the best things at thrift stores.  I rarely shop at regular stores any more.  Thrift stores are way more interesting.

We went to a flea market when we were in Paris.  That was pretty cool.  I found some interesting beads but paid way too much for them.  That's okay, it just makes them extra special.  I like finding thrift stores when we travel too.  

do you like particular foods for summer dinners? do you use a recipe or
combine whatever ingredients you have on hand?

I love barbecues in the summer.  Yum.  My hubby makes the best hamburgers!  We have them almost every weekend.  I make a pasta salad that is easy and yummy.  My granddaughter loves it.  I throw in whatever vegetables I have.

I enjoy making fresh fruit pies in the summer.  I have good recipes for strawberry pie, rhubarb pie and peach pie.  I don't make my own crust for pie.  I don't seem to have the knack for it.  Plus, buying them already made is so much easier!

Last Thursday, time got away from me as I had a niece visiting.  We have so much fun together!  I always look forward to our art days together.  We will do one in August that involves the younger generation as well.  We just have to figure out a day that will work for everyone.

I like that our renovation is finished and I am working at getting the house in order again.  I am also working at hanging some of my art.  It needs to come out of the closet!  It needs to be seen!
