do you like red and green? does it lift your spirits? what shades do you
like best?
Yes, red and green at Christmas is lovely!  All the shades!  My tree is always a hodgepodge of colours.  I love it that way.  Of course, I enjoy the fully coordinated trees you see in the stores, but that is not going to happen at my house.  I enjoy the old ornaments and remembering who gave them or made them for me.  They are special.  Our tree is a bit smaller than usual this year.  We didn't have room to put all of the ornaments.  Oh well, there is always next year!

I like that I got to see my granddaughter sing at her school Christmas concert yesterday.  So cute!  I liked seeing all the parents and grandparents excited to see their child perform.  So sweet.

I like that all the final details of the bathroom renovation have been finished!  Now, it needs a piece of art.  I have an idea for a painting, and I'm eager to get started on it.  I might need to concentrate on other things first.  We don't do a lot of presents, but the ones we do give need to be wrapped.  That seems more pressing than doing the painting.

I like that it is supposed to rain today.  We already have a lot of snow and I will be glad to see some of it washed away!

  1. Your tree is so pretty! I love all of our old ornaments, too - especially the ones from when the kids were growing up and that were homemade. Happy Thursday!

  2. Angela - I am with you on the "old" ornaments and the variety of colors! Almost all of our ornaments were made by the kids, or me, or were collected during our travels. I have a few treasured ornaments that I inherited from my Mom, and I always shed a tear or two when thinking about her at this time of year. I look forward to seeing your painting, after the press of the holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
